MUSIC THEORY LESSONS

A pass at Grade 5 Theory is a prerequisite for practical examinations beyond ABRSM Grade 5. 

Grade 3 is often a useful starting level, but a series of intensive support  sessions aimed at
passing Grade 5 quickly can be also be arranged.

 

As a guide, a term's worth of lessons should be enough for most students to get through

Grade 3 comfortably, with a further two terms in order to take the Grade 5 exam.

Advanced theory lessons are available for those wishing to continue beyond Grade 5.

Lessons are tailored to individual requirements, and as well as teaching theory from first principles, support is available for those who need it in the run up to an exam.

Theory lessons can take place in person or online.
